SEO Cohort Analysis Tool: Triage, Intent Mapping & CTR by Cohort

What this tool does

This tool helps you sort web pages into traffic-light colors (Green, Amber, Red), guess what people want when they search, and put each page into a simple “type” group: AI-hit, AI-resistant, or Transactional.

Then it tells you what to build first and what number to watch so you can improve faster.

Why it helps

  • Beat the AI Overview box: If Google already shows a big answer, this tool tells you how to change your page so people still click.
  • Spend time where it works: Put energy into pages that are starting to do better, not ones that stay the same.
  • Easy to explain: Simple rules and a plan you can copy and share.

How to use it

  1. Type your page topic and pick a few options.
  2. Say if Google shows a big answer for that topic.
  3. Press “Show my plan.”
  4. You get a color (Green, Amber, Red), a type (AI-hit, AI-resistant, Transactional), and next steps.
  5. Watch the numbers for 28 days. If the number does not improve, change your plan.

What the colours mean

  • Green = Go: The page already brings sign-ups, sales, or important clicks. Do more of this.
  • Amber = Maybe: Not sure yet. Try one small change for 28 days, then keep it if it helps or park it if it doesn’t.
  • Red = Stop and rethink: The page gets views but not clicks, or Google answers it too well. Change the idea and try again.

The three page “types” (cohorts)

  • AI-hit: Google’s big answer box already explains this topic.
  • AI-resistant: People still need your tool or your help to choose.
  • Transactional: People are ready to buy or sign up.

What to make (after you press “Show my plan”)

  • AI-hit: Put a tiny tool at the top. Ideas: quick calculator, checker, template, or mini-estimator. Keep the longer explanation under it. Aim for clicks on your main button.
  • AI-resistant: Show the result first in 10 seconds or less. Ideas: calculators, generators, builders, simple comparison.
  • Transactional: Make buying easy. Show pricing, comparisons, real reviews, and a clear button to start.

What number should I watch?

  • CTR = how many people click after they see you.
  • Actions per 1,000 views = useful clicks like Copy, Export, Start, Sign-up, or Buy.
Track these for 28 days. If the number goes up, keep going. If the number does not change, try a different idea.
